At Bonby preschool we aim for all children to leave with the skills needed throughout their life and their next stages in their learning journey.

Having strong social skills, a high sense of emotional well-being, understanding the importance of physical activity and having an understanding of nutritional value – to live a healthy lifestyle.

Having respect and showing kindness to one another as well as having manners are skills and values promoted and demonstrated at our preschool.

We hope all our children develop skills to ask adults for help and to be able to express their own needs and wants, understanding their own and other’s emotions.

We have been accredited the Curiosity approach, where children have the desire to learn with awe and wonder, creating their own play through imagination.

We have also been awarded Millie’s Mark, an exceptional achievement to show we are going above and beyond to keep your child safe.

Millie’s Mark provides reassurance to parents that all childcare practitioners at our setting are paediatric first aid trained and competent.

Our children have named our extra piece of land, kindly donated for us to use by a local resident, ‘Muddy Park’. The children have been digging and weeding the land to grow fruit, vegetables and plants. Areas for climbing and risk taking have also been created as well as a mud kitchen made of pallets.

We plan to continue developing the land to increase learning and development opportunities for the children, whilst supporting their physical and mental health.
