Our Vision Statement

At Worlaby Academy our vision is to challenge all children to strive for academic, creative, sporting and personal accomplishment within a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum. We will give all children the opportunity to explore a range of subjects within a carefully planned curriculum and to develop a deep understanding of subject areas.

In order for all children to leave as independent learners, demonstrating respect and tolerance we will optimise opportunities to work towards achievement of the school values, leading the children into becoming healthy, confident, caring and resilient learners. We want them to leave with a life-long love of learning and to be full of ambition for the future. Safeguarding and welfare is paramount and all children are taught how to safeguard themselves, and to have emotional wellbeing. They will continue to maintain the school and community as a bully free zone. Our children have a voice and continue to use it effectively to bring about positive change.

We hold great value in our pupils having an ability to recognise the difference between right and wrong, and to readily apply this understanding in their own lives and in so doing, respect the civil and criminal law of England. They will be encouraged to demonstrate skills and attitudes that will allow them to participate fully in and contribute positively to life in modern Britain in addition to demonstrating global awareness. Through collaboration we encourage our children to bring about positive change both locally and in the wider world. We expect excellent standards of behaviour and we expect children to demonstrate kindness to themselves and to others.

Our vision is to deliver outstanding teaching and learning, with the highest expectations of all. Staff will have access to high quality training and will be able to learn from each other and share good practice to further enhance outcomes for children. The relationship in our academy between staff and children underpins effective teaching and learning; being a small school, we know all of the children well. Our vision is for an inclusive school where everyone can flourish and achieve positive outcomes, regardless of socio-economic background, ethnicity, gender or barriers to learning.

We will be at the heart of the community and will build strong collaborative partnerships with families and the community.
