On Tuesday evening, the children in Year 2 enjoyed their first competitive event. This was a bench ball tournament held at The Vale Academy, competing against 5 other local schools.

The children listened attentively and demonstrated the rules to all the other schools, then enjoyed a round robin competition against all the other schools. Some matches were won and some lost, but all the children demonstrated enjoyment and enthusiasm. They used throwing and catching skills which we have practised in PE lessons and became more confident using invasive skills, showing understanding of attacking and defending principles.

I was extremely proud of you all and the sportsmanship you showed to the other children. Well done, I look forward to you signing up for the next competition you can do.
