Keep Active

Week 8

At the end of our active Lockdown challenge, our Worlaby family have walked, ran, scooted or rode over 1400 miles. This is a fantastic effort to all of you who took part, give yourselves a pat on the back!
Originally aiming to walk from John O'Groats to Land's End, we completed this just prior to the Easter break. Since then, the miles completed meant we could leave Land's End, call at Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, head across to London and finally head through Essex and along the Suffolk and Norfolk coastlines, finishing in Cromer, in North Norfolk. What a brilliant challenge everyone!

Week 6

Here is an image of our completed walk.
We did it!  It only took 3 weeks and we completed our challenge to walk the whole of Great Britain! We set off from John O Groats in Scotland on Monday 18th January and by Monday 8th February we had walked through Scotland, down the west side of England, passing the border with Wales and reached Land's End in Cornwall. (We even had enough miles to start the return journey!)
Keep up the walking, biking, scooting (anything which raises your heart rate) and I will plot us another journey. Shall we complete a return journey, walk the coastline of Great Britain or head out into Europe and visit some countries and capital cities in Europe? Remember, keep log of your miles and send to your teacher the first week back.....Mrs Clark

Week 5

In week 2 of our challenge to walk (run, scoot or bike) from John O'Groats to Land's End as a school, we have managed to walk 298 miles!
We left Loch Lomond and quickly reached Glasgow. Then we continued South, leaving Scotland and passing by the beautiful Lake District. We went past Blackpool and Manchester and reached Leek in Staffordshire on the edge of the Peak District. If we have one last push next week, I think we can reach Land's End, we only have 288 miles to go!

Get those boots on and off you go!
